Ujumqin Horse

Intro

Also called Wuchumutsin, the Ujumqin Horse is a type of Chinese Mongolian horse. This strain is larger with finer conformation than other Mongolian types and mainly found in the Xilingol region in eastern Inner Mongolia

Origins

This is a light steppe-type and considered a more elegant version of the Chinese Mongolian. This is in part due to the high quality grass that grows in its native area. While they are larger and lighter which makes them faster, they are every bit as hardy as others of the type.

Established as their own type in 1978, they are thought of as an improved version of the classic Chinese Mongolian breed.
