Intro

The Ke-Er-Quin breed comes from the Keerqin steppe in inner Mongolia which is a largely agricultural area. Part of this Mongolian plateau is known as the horse center of the country due to it’s abundant grasslands.

Origins

Since the 1950’s breeding programs have been in place, crossing the local Mongolian animals with Sanhe, Don, Russian Thoroughbred & Ardennes animals. Each cross was carefully watched & evaluated until the Ardennes/ Sanhe, cross was determined to provide the best results.
