Henan Light Draught

Intro

Also called Henan Trait, the Henan Light Draught horse was created in Henan province.

Origins

Established to create a stronger horse for agriculture which was versatile enough to also be ridden. The original bloodlines used to create the Henan are a mystery but they likely possess some form of Mongolian blood. While mechanization has squeezed horses out of agriculture in modern China, the Henan is still used on smaller farms, dense woodlands and tourism.
