While seal brown coat colors don’t vary greatly, there is some variation and for our purposes we’ve put them in two groups, light and dark. Light brown animals are less common than their darker counterparts and are perhaps more difficult to identify visually. They can be confused with standard or blood bay, especially if the bay is affected by mealy modifier.
