Standard Bay Horses

A look at standard bay horses around the world and on a variety of different breeds.

Probably the most common bay shade and generally what people think of when they envision the color. The coat ranges from muddy brown to a dull reddish brown, but tend to be more brown than either blood or copper bays. Mane, tail and points remain black, although they may show white markings on their face or legs.
