Intro
Not an official breed, but rather a type of mountain horse bred in the French Alps. Specifically from the commune of Megève, from which they take their name.
Origins
Established in the late 20th century, Megève animals are a cross between Comtois and Swiss Franches Montagnes bloodlines. The result was a strong, versatile animal, well suited for pulling loads over mountainous terrain.
