Intro
Not a breed on its own, the Half-Blood of Centre is a strain of the Selle Français Horse bred in the Centre Region of France.
Origins
The registry for this strain was founded in 1900 and they were popular for about half a century before their studbook was merged with other half-blood breeds under the Selle Français registry. This type was slightly more rustic than many of the other crosses, making them useful for light agricultural duties.
