Intro
The Jef Horse is not an official breed, but a strain of the Persian Plateau Horse which has obvious Arabian influence.
Origins
Raised in Iran, particularly in Kurdistan which stretches across southeast Turkey, northeast Iraq, northwest Iran and northern Syria. Their native cradle is believed to be in Iranian Kurdistan. As they aren’t an official breed, there are no centralized studbooks. There is very little available about this strain.
