Origins

The Kundudo horse comes from the Kundudo mountain in the Oromia region of Ethiopia and they are the oldest known feral horse population in Africa. They are also the only remaining wild horses in east Africa and they are in danger of extinction. It is said that Emporer Haile Selassie I took his first mount from the Kundudo pack over a century ago.
