Intro
Ukrayinska Verhova or Ukrainian Saddle Horse is a sport saddle type bred in Ukraine and the result of a complex breeding program. Unlike many other saddle type, they are entirely undemanding and easy keepers.
Origins
Established in 1971, the foundation were carefully selected Trakehner, Hanoverian, Thoroughbred and Russian Saddle stallions, crossed with with Hungarian and improved local mares.
The native animals provided rustic robustness and the sport animals used are generally of a heavier type. All together they produce a handsome heavier sport saddle horse that is adaptable, strong and able to thrive in more extreme climates.
