Minusin Horse

Intro

The Minusin breed is similar to many of the steppe breeds, having been shaped by life on the steppes. However these animals tend to be more robust and imposing in stature.

Origins

The breed comes from the Minusin Valley in the south part of the Krasnodar region and was developed by the people native to the area who have been breeding horses for hundreds of years. As the needs for agriculture began to grow the breed was infused with the blood of Don, Thoroughbred & trotter stallions to provide it with needed size.
