Local Moldavian Horse

Intro

Also called Moldoveneascá Localá and Moldave, the Local Moldavian Horse is more of a type than a breed that comes from Moldova.

Origins

Originally a mix of Russian Trotter, Orlov Trotter and Don among others, today this is essentially a country bred horse. There are no centralized stud book or breeding programs, so their breeding has been left in the hands of private breeders for localized needs.
