Intro
The Puro Sangue Orientale, PSO or Pure Eastern Blood horse is a recognized strain of the mighty Arabian breed.
Origins
Imported into Italy at the end of the 19th century, the Arabian strain was kept pure and developed in Sicily. In 1875, the studbook was officially recognized as an Arabian strain. Today there are very few of them still bred, the DAD-IS lists them as critical and as of 2022 there were only 99 left.
