Intro
The Pantaneiro Horse is a Brazilian breed that comes from the Panatanal region which borders Bolivia.
Origins
This type has been found in the area for around 300 years and over the years have come to be highly adapted to the swampy local climate. Remaining relatively true to their Iberian ancestors, they have not known human interference until recently. As the Panatanal is near Bolivia’s border it stands to reason that they would also adopt a strain of the breed of their own.
