Lithuanian Riding Horse

Intro

According to their registry Lithuanian Riding Horses are ‘characterized by versatility and are able to be used in various equestrian disciplines’. Like most riding or sport horse breeds, the riding horse is generally registered based on temperament, athletic ability and performance, rather than breed bloodlines.

Origins

Most sport horse breeds are relatively recent, but generally based on old hunter or cavalry type animals. The concept of a sport animal is nothing new, the types and intensity of equestrian sports have simply changed. In 2017, LHBA became member of World Breeding Federation for Sport Horses.
