Turkish Arabian Horse

Intro

Many of the breeds found in Turkey have some level of Arabian influence. While the Turkish Arabian has some Anatolian Native blood, they tend to be taller than either of the breeds and are often used for racing.

Origins

Over the years there have been Arabian animals imported from various countries that breed them. In the early 20th century that was brought down to animals mainly from Iraq and Syria at the state studs. As they are bred for racing, their lineage is taken quite seriously and run by the Ministry of Food, Agriculture and Livestock.
