Intro
The Mugalzhar Horse is a large animal bred primarily for meat and milk production, they come from crossing local mares with Jabe stallions. They are well adapted for year round pasturing.
Origins
Bred for specific requirements, crosses are carefully controlled. As they are bred specifically for producing food, they need to be large, without loosing their rustic characteristics. Not only did they succeed in their breeding goals, but the resulting breed is sound enough to be used for improving other breeds.
There are four types found within the breed, Embinsky, Kulandinsky, Sary-Arkinsky and Kozhamberdinsky.
