Intro
Andino Pony comes from the high peaks of the Andes in Peru. They are a smart, robust and surefooted breed, honed by natural selection in the tough terrain they inhabit.

As with all breeds in the Americas, the Andino pony is descendant from the horses of Spanish Conquistadors. Over the centuries natural selection has created a smaller, more compact animal well suited to the tough local terrain and climate of the area. This breed is rarely found outside of Peru.
