Morochuco Horse

Origins

The Morochuco comes comes from the Peruvian Andes in the state of Ayacucho and the breed was thought to be developed by Jesuits.

Origins

They are well known for their smooth, pacing gaits among other qualities that make them fine riding horses. These are small, shaggy animals but quite hardy and surefooted, perhaps the best representation of the Andean breeds. This breed is shaped by the climate and needs of the people as over the years they became an integral part of daily life.
