The hotly debated Mongol Derby is the longest & harshest horse race in the world. The race re-creates the vast messenger system of 1000 kilometers created by Genghis Khan.
An Ongoing Series
While many people won’t agree with the treatment of animals in this race, the same thing could easily be said about most modern equestrian sports. This one comes steeped in tradition and is a part of equestrian history. The sixth and final episode of the show which sees the riders at the last stage of the derby. Only a few hours behind the leaders, Barry and Joe gamble by selecting wild horses to ensure the fastest ride. Will their gamble pay off?
