One Deep Puddle – Horse Image of the Week

Horses pulling a wagon that is stuck in the mud
This photograph was taken in 1872 in Hill End, Australia. A town that may have sprung up because of local gold mining. Such a great action shot, even if the action is stuck in the mud.

Why We Like It

We like it because getting stuck in the mud is such an ordinary problem and also such a frustrating one. Probably more so when you are dealing with big struggling animals and a heavy load to move. The fellas on the sidelines don’t seem to be interested in lending a hand either, they are too clean to have just stopped for the photo. Really the question is, why would you try to go straight through that puddle in the first place?
