We’ve all seen tons of jumping montage videos, and this one really isn’t that different, with the exception of the first horse…who might actually have springs on his feet.
Generally I try to post something funny or informative, but when I saw this I had to share. The jump on the first animal is amazing, he could have cleared people, no problem. WOW.

I couldn’t find very much office horse, but what I did find was so fantastic I had to share. I’ll keep looking and update this list as I run across more items. This looks like a fairly informal event, but the crowd seems to enjoy the action. I won’t tell you who wins (you have to watch) but I will tell you that it won’t come as a big surprise.

It was a fortunate coincidence that led me to the work of Wiktor Wassnezow, but I’m so glad it happened. His work has a romantic feel that is typical of Russian & other northern artists, but the attention to detail & extreme personality in his subjects that captures my imagination.
Wiktor was born in a remote village in Russia in the mid 19th century and his specialty was mythological and historical characters. He was also an important part of the Russian revivalist movement. Unfortunately his fairy tale art wasn’t well received at the time and his art wasn’t publicly celebrated until he turned to more religious themes.
