Home to an amazing diversity of climates, Russian horses have to be some tough animals.
There are many breeds native to Russian soil, but perhaps the most well known is the spirited Akhal-Teke. This animal is known for its tremendous stamina and it’s hardy nature which enables it to survive extreme conditions.
Other breeds native to Russia include the Don, the Orlov Trotter and the Russian Heavy Draft; all of them suited to their specific landscape.

Hands down my favorite member of the equine family will always be the stallion, there is just something about their wild unpredictability, not to mention such extreme personality.
I can honestly say I’ve met very few animals with a personality as big as that of a stud horse.
I started digging around for pictures of stallions and to my delight I was able to come up with some pretty amazing shots. Photographers seem to appreciate the challenge of capturing their spirit on film.

Logos are a fun way to express the feeling and ideas behind any business, and the horse industry is no exception.
While I’m a firm believer in keeping things simple and (for the horse industry) staying away from too much *horse* in the logo.
This article started when I found one that I really liked, then when I started doing some research I found a whole bunch of clever horse logos that were worth sharing.
Although most of them go against my no horse rule, I like them anyway.

Managing mares is a very hands on position and requires a person with strength of body and mind. Those interested in this position should have some experience with mares in season and in foal. This is a position which benefits from a teamwork attitude, strong attention to detail and a thorough knowledge of the life and cyclical changes of the female horse.
The ability to be firm but with a gentle touch, a deep understanding of equine nutrition and a strong love for the animal are traits of a well-placed broodmare manager.
Some truly amazing imagery of horses that is quite different from most of the horse pictures you see out there today. A dash of the unusual and a little biology thrown in and you have some truly spectacular images of the equine animal.
