Pretty sooty causes dark hairs to grow interspersed throughout the coat, generally concentrated along the topline and points. Sooty buckskins are the product of a single dose of the cream dilution and a sooty modifier on a bay base. Sooty coloring is not uncommon on buckskin animals and looks very similar to a yellow dun, except a dun animal will always have a dorsal stripe running down the middle of their back.
