Intro
Like the name indicates, the Tres Sangres Horse is a cross using three very influential breeds of horse, the Pura Raza Española, English Thoroughbred and Arabian.
Origins
These three bloodlines have likely unofficially encountered one another from time to time over the years. An attempt was made to create faster cow horses by crossing Andalusian with Thoroughbred animals, the result was Hispano English Horses. Their speed had been increased, but they were also too highly strung to work with cattle. Adding Arabian blood seemed to produce a better animal, as Hispano English breeding was abandoned in favor of Tres Sangres animals.
Andalusian and Arabian bloodlines have obviously been crossed many times before, but officially they are called Hispano-Árabe or Aralusian. This combination has been incredibly well received, producing a hardy and beautiful animal.
Power of The Grandfathers
Arguably the mighty bloodlines of Spain, Endland and the Arabian Peninsula are the grandfathers of a huge variety of modern breeds. Indeed all three are still often used to improve other types.
