Hispano English Horse

Intro

Like the name indicates, the Hispano English Horse is a cross between two very influential breeds of horse, the Pura Raza Española and the English Thoroughbred.

Origins

Officially established early in the 20th century (these bloodlines are likely to have been unofficially crossed many times) with the objective of injecting some speed into the Andalusian bloodlines to more effectively work cattle. The result was an animal that was faster, but also highly strung, not at all suitable for working with cows.

The obvious solution was to add some Arabian genetics, which seemed to do the trick. Breeding of the Hispano English was abandoned in favor of the Tres Sangres or Three Bloods which maintained a mix of the three breed giants.
