Beledougou Horse

Intro

Also called the Banamba, The Beledougou is a variety of the West African Dongola (with Arabian influence) and was developed in Mali, Africa.

Origins

Traditionally bred by the Markas people who live in the Koulikoro Region of Mali. The Baluchi horse of Pakistan is related to the West African Barb through the Beledougou.

Average height 13.4-15 hands

Physique

Head has straight or slightly convex profile
Neck is muscular
Ears are long
Legs are strong
