Horse Stamps 4

Throwing away my posting schedule has forced me to do some summer cleaning, and in doing so I always find fun ideas I’d forgotten about.

I love the colorful horse stamps and was delighted to find this additional post of them, (you have to love finding half finished material). This is the fourth part in the collection, so if you haven’t seen parts one, two & three be sure to take a look.

The equine stamps I’ve found come from all over the globe, although it seems Germany & Russia lead the pack in sheer numbers.

History of the Pinto Breeds

Out of all of the amazing horse colors out there, I must confess that pintos have always been my favorite.

Perhaps it’s the interesting splotchy shapes or the lovely contrast between stark white and dark colors. Whatever it is, the bonus is that they come in all shapes & sizes & can be found in many breeds.

Horses in Fashion

The equine animal seems to be good friends with haute couture and can often be found hanging out near fashion shoots. In fact, I found so many fashion ad that use them, I had to break my collection up into two parts.

Although I have to admit that I find swimsuit advertising using horses a bit strange. Really, who wants to ride a horse in their swimsuit?

Horse Breeds Beginning With A

Horse breeds that start with A Lately I’ve been hard at work on my breeds section, so it’s on my mind. Which means I’ll be writing about them from time to time, I’m not joking when I say there are a lot of them. Plus I’m growing proud of how comprehensive the list has become.

As I’m adding them by letter I decided to share them the same way & dedicate a post to each letter of the alphabet. I’ve already profiled a few of the breeds that begin with A, but the list seems to take a life of it’s own and keeps growing.

Historic Places It’s interesting that some of my popular posts come from the trough category (my unusual dog post has by far seen the highest number of views) but the historical places to see was well-recieved too.

Common Plants That Are Toxic to Your Horse

Horses have to watch what they eat, not to maintain a slender figure, but because there are so many plants out there that are toxic to them.

When I started writing my toxic plants section it quickly became comical as I started recognizing (& photographing) the many plants I was writing about in my daily life. I chose the pics below mainly because they are so common.
