Terry Stanley Revisited

Terry's Horse ArtTuesday is artist appreciation day & today it’s all about the work of Terry Stanley, another artist I found via Twitter.

Artist of the Week

Todays artist creates bold imagery that is full of life and movement. Terry’s use of bright color and texture imbues her animals with character and personality. A lover of the flashier horses, she is a fan of Vanners and Rocky Mountain Horses.

Keeping Up With Terry

Be sure to visit her website at www.terrystanley.com & subscribe to her blog at www.artladyconfidential.blogspot.com to see her latest stuff & you can always find Terry on Twitter to keep up with her work. Here are some quick quotes & my favorite images from her interview, you can read the whole interview here.

“My parents put me on a Shetland pony when I was two and had to pry me off! If there was a horse around while I was growing up, I was either on it, helping care for it or drawing it!”

Terry's Interview

“Equines, Canines & Humans all have personality and that’s what I try to capture with my portraits.”

Nienka

“Painting for me is a joyous activity and I play blues music rather loudly and tend to dance around at my easel as I paint! Great fun but a little embarrassing when you turn around and the postman’s there waiting for a signature…”

Sassy

“Also, no matter how good your digital images are, it’s literally impossible for an image on a screen to adequately show the color nuances accurately.”

Enjoying the Artists

Hope you enjoyed this artist re-visit & that you’ll check out Terry’s full interview to learn more about her & her work. Stay tuned because next week we’ll be re-visiting an interview with horse artist Susan Williams.
