I come from Augusta Co. Va. near Waynesboro, just up the road from where I live now. I was born in the country and loved horses ever since. Got my first pony at age 8 and have had horses most of my life, to just trail ride.

Riders Recommended has a solution to help with the research. It is a clever site that allows horse people to recommend products that have performed well for them.
It’s not a site filled with advertisers trying to promote their own products, the recommends are all from bona fide equestrians.

Sadly this plea has become more and more common lately, but no doubt Equine Rescue Association is a very worthy cause.
I’ve written about this operation before and was recently contacted by them with new developments.
The woman who runs the Equine Rescue Association is Dr. Vel Moore, a 76 year old woman who not only rescues troubled horses at her establishment, but she rescues troubled teens too.

The horse is and has always been an integral part of the Mongolian lifestyle and the children are said to be born on horseback.
Equines are used for transportation, as pack animals, for milk, for food and for entertainment. Horses play a huge part in shaping their culture and are valued and respected.
The Mongolian horse is said to be very similar in form and function to the animals that carried Genghis Khan.
