An artificial breeding technician is responsible for the artificial reproduction, which is often used when breeding horses and livestock. They frequently coordinate their efforts with a breeding manager or a broodmare manager.

What You Need

This is a position which benefits from a good understanding of horse anatomy, experience handling animals and a gentle touch for the mares. The ability to withstand physical labor, a strong physique, solid communication and strong organizational skills are highly beneficial to become an artificial breeding technician.

What Are They?

Moose are the largest of the deer family and their name comes from the Algonquian Easter Abnaki name moz which loosely translated means “twig eater”.

Where Are They?

In North America moose are found in most of Canada, western Alaska, New England, Rocky Mountains, and parts of Michigan, Minnesota, Utah and Colorado.

In Europe they are found in Norway, Sweden, Estonia, Finland, the Baltic States, Russia and parts of Poland and Belarus.
