Unusual Flower Macro Photography

Flower Macro

Image from Martin Heigan

Something a little different today. In my many searches for beautiful images I run across some that aren’t horse related but worth a share. Clearly I’m a collector and I stash them away until I have enough to show everyone.

I guess you could say I’m officially declaring today flower friday.

2009 Equine Health & Safety Fair – Raising Money For Horses & Their Friends

2010 Equine Health & Safety FairThis fair was brought to my attention by a student Austin LaCroix who is a jr. finalist in the Bible Bee competition and is working with the Lifesavers Wild Horse Rescue (who is hosting the event) to raise money.

They are selling & raffling donations, the proceeds of which will go to benefit the rescue and to help him get to Washington D.C. for the national Bible Bee competition.

All pretty good causes and the fair offers great information and educational events for horse lovers of all ages. They are accepting donations for the cause, whether it is used tack, artwork, books or dollars themselves.

Here is some fun art celebrating my favorite of the mythological horse creatures, the Pegasus.
