Tuesday is artist appreciation day & today it’s all about the work of Iwona Jenkowski. Although I didn’t find her on Twitter, she and I connected through the website.
Artist of the Week
Today’s artist paints bold, colorful horses and in between vibrant splashes of color she creates animals that are both detailed & lifelike. Not a horse owner (as of last time we talked) but she is an equal opportunity horse lover and appreciates them all.
Keeping Up With Iwona
Be sure to visit her website at www.ijArtStudio.com to see her latest stuff. Here are some quick quotes & my favorite images from her interview, you can read the whole interview here.
“My art passion, education, broad experience, and professional carrier in commercial art helped me to broaden my skills and continue to identify, as well as develop, my own means of artistic expressions.”
“Yes, I go to my studio I call “Cave,” close the door and I’m instantly in the zone.”
“I don’t remember how and when I was introduced to horses, the only thing I remember is that I was amazed by the animals and when drawing them, I thought I could feel every muscle of the horse I drew.”
“Yes, the Internet is the place I can find some great inspiration for my art, can introduce myself as an artist, share my art with others, and also can put it on the market when available for sale.”
Enjoying the Artists
Hope you enjoyed this artist re-visit & that you’ll check out Iwona’s full interview to learn more about her & her work. Stay tuned because next week we’ll be re-visiting an interview with horse artist Danielle Barlow.
