A look at Puerto Rican Paso Fino horses with tiger eyes.
Tiger eye is a rare iris dilution found almost exclusively in Puerto Rican Paso Fino horses. It’s characterized by a lightening of the iris to a bright yellow, amber or even orange color. Believe it or not, there are two variants associated with this dilution. Different from the iris dilution associated with cream and champagne, tiger eye doesn’t seem to have any affect on coat color and can be found on all base colors.
