The flaxen modifier can only be seen on the mane and tail hairs of a chestnut base, bleaching them to a pale or white color. While the roan white pattern causes white hairs to grow interspersed throughout the coat, leaving points, mane and tail their original color. The combination compliments each other, giving us a bit of cream to go with our strawberry roans.
