The flaxen modifier can only be seen on the mane and tail hairs of a chestnut base, bleaching them to a pale or white color. The rabicano white pattern also lightens things by creating white hairs throughout the coat, extending up from the barrel. Like the flaxen roan, this combination is quite complimentary.
