Also called the moroccan pattern, medicine hat is generally displayed on a pintos. This is a backward marking, the poll and ears are dark and surrounded completely by white. A true medicine hat is mostly white on the body and blue eyes as well. Very similar to and often confused with war bonnet markings, which are very similar.
