A look at leopard appaloosa horses around the world and on a variety of different breeds.
Beautiful appaloosas come in an almost endless variety of spotting patterns, but can be categorized into several types based on the amount of white in the coat. White patterning over the whole body is called Leopard and is used when white covers 60% or more of the body. Sometimes they will retain color on the points (head and legs) and they can have spots of the base color distributed throughout the coat, similar to a dalmatian.
