Horses have been part of human culture since we began domesticating them. Fridays are a great day for all of us to celebrate horse culture from around the globe.
The Horse Filled Camargue
The Camargue is like something out of a horse-loving child’s dream, flat wetlands home to horses in varying degrees of grey. The Camargue horse is one of the oldest breeds in the world and their origins are a mystery. Although plenty of European breeds have left their mark on a breed in such a well-traveled part of the horse world. Today their bloodlines are protected and they are left to live and reproduce as nature intended in the swampy land they have claimed for their own.
With such a strong horse history, it’s only to be expected that there is quite a lot of culture built around it and plenty of events where it’s displayed. These three gentlemen are obviously headed somewhere and don’t they look smart? So very Italian.
