Kandachime Horse

Intro

Also called the Kandachi and Handachine Horse, the Kandachime is a Japanese draft breed that comes from the region of Aomori.

Origins

They come from a cross between local horses and the blood of Anglo-Arabians, Arabians, Hackney and draft blood like the Belgian and Breton.

There is little information in English on this breed, but from what we can tell pureblood animals no longer exist. Larger animals from Europe and North America were imported to increase size of the animals for the Japanese cavalry.
