The horse blogger of this week is Patti Woodbury, you can find more of her stuff over at her blog Desert Equine Balance. (Be sure & grab her RSS feed while you are there).
I’m probably not the only one who would like to see Patti update her blog more often, but her articles are valuable regardless of their age. Her blog provides a wealth of detailed information on everything from hay to supplements to deciding how much of what your horse needs in their diet. She also offers links to relevant information & resources with almost every article for those who wish to continue learning.
Patti’s slogan is “There are no magic bullets in equine nutrition.” A truer statement never uttered. We’ve taken them from their natural habitat, we darn well better make sure they are fed right.

I own and operate a retirement farm for senior and special needs horses in TN. I blog about all aspects of the natural horse care I provide for them.
Thanks!
Perhaps Patti’s site should be required reading for every novice horse owner! It would have saved me many costly mistakes. Thanks for featuring her!
