At the height of horse racing fever, this race was a pivotal moment in history for both of these champions. It was a long time in the making so when it finally happened America stood waiting with baited breath.
From the east coat was War Admiral, the refined offspring of Man ‘O War himself, bred and built purely to run. And from the west coast was Seabiscuit, Man O’ War’s grandson. He was an ugly colt, but that just made the left coast of America cheer even louder for him.

Horses manage to permeate popular culture relatively often. Equinest or not, most people enjoy looking at the horse and there are many horses, both fictional and real, that have captivated hearts through the years.
