When did you first start drawing horses?
I didn’t start really drawing horses until I was about 6 or 7. It was only after I met a friends old and much loved palomino mare that I really fell in love with horses.

Managing stallions is a very hands-on and physically demanding position, requiring a person who is strong in both body and mind. Anyone interested in this position should have experience handling studs. This is a position which benefits from a firm understanding of teamwork, the ability to think/ act quickly and a thorough knowledge of the equine animal.
The ability to make quick decisions, handle great physical demands and a sheer love of the animal are traits of a successful stallion manager.
If you haven’t seen the dramatic chipmunk that started it all, you really should check it out for a quick giggle.
Here is our lovely equine counterpart dramatic horse

My name is Sara Mall Johani. I sign my work simply Sara. There’s a story behind it which conveys volumes to me that it’s enough. I try to keep it simple, and, as we all know, life is anything but simple.

Our main website is www.thelateralline.com. My husband and I are a team and do a lot of (art) work together, filling in the gaps with whatever our skills and strengths allow.
So there’s another project site http://soulsalmon.org, it was a very intense community non-profit effort something like the cows in Chicago and a lot of different fiberglass creatures around the world. See the interactive art parade map
We also participated as artists in a Watershed oriented art retreat where we were asked to relate to the Wenatchee watershed and its creature inhabitants along with other artists.

The horse is very much a part of modern life in India, often depended upon for transport and work.
They are also proud of the high spirited Marwari horse known primarily for their signature turned in ears.

I look at A LOT of horse pictures which isn’t always as fun as it sounds. Although, it does mean that I run across some brilliant stuff periodically. When I do, I stash it away until I’ve collected enough of those “wow” moments to share with my readers.
