Horse Job – Racetrack Manager

Group of men standing with a horse at a racetrack

A racetrack manager is a position that doesn’t usually work directly with the animals. Although the animals are their primary concern, this position is generally more administrative in nature. Similar to any stable manager. This position is more of an HR tool and often used to ensure that those who work with the animals are of quality.

This is generally a salaried position and can be found at most racing establishments. Those interested in this position should have a history in management and administration.

A Good Communicator

This is a position which benefits from good communication skills, a knowledge of horseflesh and the ability to manage a large staff of people.

The ability to work with a wide variety of people under large amounts of stress, leadership qualities and the ability to effectively to maintain a gaming license are all strong points of a good racetrack manager.

The Horses of Eugene Delacroix

I’ve enjoyed the idea of looking back at some of the masters of the art world to see which ones were horse fans.

It’s no secret that the horse is a difficult animal to draw – perspective is everything. I like to think that some of the true talents drew them to hone their skills.

About Eugene

Eugene Delacroix was one of the important French Romantic painters. He was also a lithographer and illustrated for the likes of William Shakespeare and Sir Walter Scott.

He was inspired by Reubens and painters of the Venetian Renaissance who believed in an emphasis on color and movement in their art.

I live in a quiet little Amish community in rural Ohio. It probably goes without saying the caring of the animals was my favorite aspect of farm and rural living.

Horse Pictures From Afghanistan

Afghanistan Flag
Horse cultures can be found in all corners of the globe and it’s important that we preserve them. The onslaught of mechanization during the 20th century redefined our relationship with this noble animal. We want to celebrate all horse cultures of he world, even if we find some of them disagreeable.

Anyone who has spent time on a horses back knows what it feels like to fall off of one. In fact, it is said that a true test of a rider is how many times they’ve eaten dust. Here are a few riders who most of us can sympathize with – most of them are about to eat dust.

Where I am
A small Island, just off the South coast of England consisting of 65 miles of wonderful coastline.

Tell us a little about you, what is your background & where do you come from?
I was born on The Island, where I still live. I am a self taught artist and even from earliest age I can recall the desire to create.

Whilst not blessed with the most prosperous of family upbringing, I managed to find media from which to create art pieces (even if it did mean using flour and water as a glue substitute).
