I was born and raised in the county of Lebanon, a place rich in farming and mining history. I started riding at about age 10 on a very old and very patient dear aptly called Angel.

Diego Velázquez was a Spanish Baroque painter who lived & painted from 1599-1660. He was the leading artist in the court of King Philip IV and a prolific portrait artist.
Although known for his rich portraiture of the royal family, he also entertained the occasional equestrian subject.
Leaving us with horses whose curves are lovingly portrayed by a truly gifted artist.
Growing up around such amazing horses, it’s no surprise that Velázquez was able to paint them so beautifully. The proud Spanish animals make such a distinguished mount for royalty.

Recently I ran across a whole new area of the equestrian industry that I hadn’t previously been introduced to. Suitability makes and sells equestrian patterns for adults, children and horses.
They offer a variety of patterns for both English & Western show clothing and include everything from show jackets to chaps to breeches. And that’s just the patterns for people, they have a number of patterns for horse clothing too.

American Mammoth is the largest breed of ass and was developed through the need for larger & stronger animals in the US.
Breeding began by the selective crossing of imported European breeds to local Native American & Mexican animals.
Informal breeding of the mammoth began more than 100 years before they became official.
A registry was formed in 1888 to track and register the animals & originally close attention was paid to bloodlines. The intention was to preserve desired traits and produce black animals over 15 hands tall.

The tradition of this show dates back to 1896 when the first stock show took place along the banks of Marine Creek in north Fort Worth. Since then it has become a yearly tradition not just for horse people, but for ranchers and farmers alike.
The festivities include livestock exhibitions, auctions, commercial exhibits and rodeo demonstrations all geared towards family fun, entertainment and learning.
