Over the years I have been writing this website I have formed a much greater appreciation for art. Although I must confess a special love for equine art, I enjoy other subjects as well.
To combine two of my favorite things has been a lot of fun as I’ve searched the web for horses in art as painted by the masters. I started with some of the most recognized artists on the planet and as I added them I kept running across more.
Not all of them are recognized masters, but they were or are all masterful artists & their horses are worth a look.

The Wiltshire White Horses are definitely an intriguing part of the history in England. In fact, several other cultures have followed suite & created their own.

Reaching horse breeds that begin with D was almost a relief, as the earlier letters are all rather large categories (although D isn’t a small one by any means).
If you haven’t already checked out the A’s, the B’s & the C’s they are worth a look. For today we will focus on breeds that begin with D, from the mysterious Dagestan Pony from the coastal plains of Russia to the athletic Dutch Warmblood known worldwide for their superior jumping ability.

It’s striking just how many horses are used in the fashion industry and I’m under the assumption that they are treated fairly well. Even though some of them are subject to silly pictures and terrible fashion.
As I started looking for images I was delighted with how many fashionista horses I was able to find, plus I’m not finished looking so there may be a part 3 in the works. Back to work I go.
