Social Horses
A great idea for an industry that already has a strong sense of community, Nickerit is a social bookmarking site for horse lovers.
The number of horse people on the web grows daily, and this service could easily become the digg of the horse community. I’m signed up and I’ve begun to do some reading and bookmarking and I like the idea of having the latest and most interesting horse news all in one place.
Showing On A Higher Level
1. Simplicity of the design is notable, functionality is of paramount importance.
2. Submitting a link is easy, making it more accessible to those who don’t spend a lot of time reading the web.
Still A Few Rails Down
1. I can’t find a way to ‘friend’ people, which I think is an important part of any bookmarking site.
2. Providing a few horse-related avatars to choose from will enable the non-computer savvy user to show a little personality even if they don’t have any technical know-how.
3. I can’t find my own profile, therefore I can’t link to my own profile (which I wanted to do here).
The more people sign up and use it, the better the service becomes, lets give them a reason to make it easier to use.
