Tell us a little about you, what is your background & where do you come from?
I come from Latvia, where I finished Art & Graft School, Riga’s Secondary School of Handicraftsman, Decorator Department, programme Design of Advertisement (Designer Certificate of International Education Society). I’ve also studied in some main artist studios.
Now my permanent job is photography as freelancer, & I just came to Ireland and looking for painting and photography clients. I have been riding horses for 10 years, and for the last 5 working as a young and problematical horse trainer.
When did you first start drawing & painting horses?
Hmm. Difficult to say, because drawing horses for as long as I can remember myself. 🙂
What is your favorite breed to paint?
Horses. 🙂 They are all wonderful models!
You are also a photographer, did the art or the camera come first?
My grandfather was amateur photographer, but my art came first. At age 16 I started studies in photography, but for the last 5 years my main job has been photography of horses in competition and life.
