So true. Horses should be treated with respect.
This is so beautiful!
For me the horse represents all that is loyal, good and dignified. Thanks Gary…you continue to speak to my heart.
Sad & Beautiful at the same time….
All my life has been marked with impressions made by horses. It’s so good to share a love in common.
You never cease to amaze me with you wisdom and understanding of God’s creations. I think your love of horses began with that ornery shetland “Billy”! Keep the camera clicking! Great job.
Your insight shows your love for horses and we would not be here without the beautiful creatures in our past history. Anyone who has a relationship with a horse knows the depth of love I am talking about. Keep up the good work, it will make you famous.
I want to thank Sandra for asking Gary Minshall to compliment this amazing poem with one of his exquisite photographs.
Gary has an intuitive empathy for the depth people respond to horses–all of us, on some level.
Horses evoke deep cellular memories in us–yearning, excitement, challenge, and triumph; comfort, comradery, faith, and fealty.
This poem, and Gary’s poignant photograph coalesce into art.
Thank you both for sharing this wonderful gift.
P.S. Have posters made. They would go out faster than they could be printed!
Jasmine
lovely poem & beautiful pic, i agree make a poster of them together for a nonprofit equine rescue or something!!
Just thought I ought to point out the last line should read ‘bones of THE horse’.
Great picture.
