Equine Awareness Day

Equine Awareness Day

This came to me recently and I had to share it with my readers. The idea of an Equine Awareness Day to support & raise awareness for horse healers and horses who heal is lovely and I hope everyone will get involved.

Equine Awareness Day

Equinsity

Equinsity and Voice For The Horse invite everyone to share in a celebration & awareness day for horses across the globe. These animals have been our companions since humans first discovered they could take us further and faster than we could go alone. Equines are now stepping forth in new capacities as teachers and healers, partners and friends.

This is a great opportunity for an equine rescue, horse therapy stable, a natural horsemanship practitioner or a healer with horses to tell their story, get noticed and raise awareness for their industry.

Get Involved

May has officially been declared Equine Awareness Month and a time to celebrate people who work within the equine industry in a healing capacity. Equinsity & Voice For The Horse are asking participants to plan a free Equine Awareness Day for a few lucky readers at your facility during the month of May 2011.

Together we can be a Voice for the Horse worldwide!

Get Some Press

Equine Awareness DayTo help spread the word they ask participants to post a story in their local newspaper (in the next two months) about how they either heal horses or heal with them. This story should be titled ‘Equine Awareness Day, A Non-Profit Event’ and should outline your event as well as your message.

Ask readers to contact you and tell you why they’d like to participate & learn more about your industry. From the responses you receive, select a few favorites and ask them (& the press) to participate in your Equine Awareness Day.

Playing Favorites

Times are tough for horse businesses everywhere so no one is expecting a 5 star event. Planning a day of education and enlightenment for a few horse lovers shouldn’t cost much and you control the schedule of events & how many people you invite.

Who To Contact If You’re In

If you would like to participate, contact Liz at liz@lizmittenryan.com or Yvonne Allen at yvonne@voiceforthehorse.com and they will send you an outline of what they are offering. They will also provide your Equine Awareness Day more press across their online network.
